This picture right here has the African American community going off (in a great way) recently. People especially women want to know each other's thoughts about a woman proposing to her man. So I thought i would chime in, first let me start off by saying, i have my own personal views about marriage and it is NOT a priority to me and yes i am in a truly happy healthy relationship.
Is the marriage proposal only exclusive to a man? Now don't go getting all religious on me because quite frankly I'm not sure if the bible says who has to propose to whom, i mean the bible and most other religious books were written at a time where ARRANGED marriage was the way things worked.
I am completely neutral on the subject, i believe a woman has the right to ask her man for his hand in marriage, is there some underlying standard people should adhere to? Maybe it's the opinions of others, men have feelings too and some cannot express them, as there is very little recognition that those feelings exist.
Is the delivery what throws people off? I don't know, i personally think it's a bit much but it was the way she chose to do it!
So if you are afraid to ask you man to marry you and think people will judge you, ask your parents to arrange for the marriage to happen and not only are we taking it old school, no one can judge you...i guess.
Do what you please your life is not at the liberty or sake of others!
