Bath and body works semi annual sale Haul

This guys is my last BBW haul for a while. While I thought the sale was okay, I just have ENOUGH and would like to finish using more items before I purchase ANY MORE! 

I am super excited that I was able to get my hands on the holiday scents before they were all gone, twisted peppermint is my new favorite. Taking over first place from Vanilla bean Noel, it just lacked this year for some reason! 

The candles weren't an amazing deal but good enough so I picked up 2. I spent $61 which includes shipping and I did 2 transactions. 

I'm done with BBW for now. Have a great new year! See you in 2015!

Today's OOTD

Since starting my minimalistic lifestyle I find it so much easier to style myself in the mornings for work. I am rocking my boyfriend cardigan from target, a grey mossimo tshirt also target and anntaylor ankle pants with shoe dazzle black flats. My accessories: necklace is from target and earrings are a mystery because I don't remember where I got them lol

And then Life happens...Goals and more

I'm back! prioritizing what I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH FOR 2015! I love blogging, I love talking and I love creating content for others to enjoy! I spend countless hours scrolling through Facebook and Instagram in a day that I can make blogging a PRIORITY! 

Here's the scoop, today I December 16, 2014 I submitted my Last, Final project! I am OFFICIALLY finished with my classes and that particular chapter of my life. 

I resume classes January 2015 continuing on to receive my Bachelors degree! I'm super excited! 

Anywho here's a glimpse into my week! Via photos, had lunch at my new desk today and a yummy cranberry lemonade ! I got new bedroom furniture and my home is coming along beautifully! 

See you guys soon! I have goals, and consistency is one of them!

Bath and body works candle haul

Quick bath and body works candle haul.

I finally took advantage of the 2 for $22 deals and got some scents from my wish list and some from YouTube suggestions!

First shipment Merry Cookie I haven't  burned it yet but cold sniff I am in love. Frosted cranberry is one of my new favorites! This is a beautiful scent and I love it in my home. Warm, berry scent it's just delicious!

Twisted peppermint is burning now as I type, it's a great bathroom candle fresh sparkling snow, cinnamon caramel swirl and vanilla snow flake are all beautiful scents on cold sniff! I can't wait to burn them. I would recommend these candles if you like foodie scents and sweet scents.

Cheating

You ever wonder why nobody wants to step in and help a spouse who is being cheated on? Well because it's messy, simple as that. 

This is cheating from either spouse man or women whatever. His family, her family, the person they are cheating with definitely doesn't care. It's your responsibility as a human being to pay close attention to your relationship, watch close enough and you can see the signs clear as day. 

Being cheated on is awful and so is cheating it's all wrong from so many angles. No one wants to be involved in the mash up of emotions which is why people will pat you on the back when you're down but won't inform you if your spouse is cheating. 

It's all apart of this thing called love I guess. It's what hurts us the most to feel like we've wasted our time, never were truly loved and could never satisfy our partner. 

It's the same attitude as starting a business, failure is the proof that you tried . Trying and failing doesn't stop the show. 

Remember this, moving forward in your life you need a deal breaker. Once you decide what that is, it is very unlikely that you'll carry on in a relationship with a load of crap going on.

Today was free coffee Tuesday thanks to Philadelphia Eagles winning another game(love free coffee) and my favorite Michael Kors tote.

Simple fashions really excite me, being a busy mom it's important that I stay stylish but in a short period of time!

Bath and body works Holiday mini haul

 Hey guys! here are some mini hauls for you! and a quick mini review. A thousand wishes smells familiar, not sure if it's a repackage but I am LOVING IT. It's right up my alley, fruity, soft and very feminine I can't get enough it honestly, I absolutely think this is a must try for everyone, if you're a little weary try the travel sizes first!

Twisted peppermint is seriously a bbw classic, it's up there warm vanilla sugar! I am in love with the sweet pepperminty scent, I purchased a full size shower gel about  week ago but had to return for a lotion and body spray. Sugar plum dream doesn't wow me on first sniff, but I will use it and give my updated thoughts!

Hey guys! I know I have been M.I.A BUT, I am so busy living life. My new job has an intense training course lasting 16 weeks I think I'm on week 6...and classes are kicking my tail. I'm exhausted to say the least and having a toddler doesn't make it easy! 

It's worth it and I'm far from the complaining zone. I had to check in with you guys because well, I miss blogging and youtubing, but I promise more posts and videos to come! Reaching the end of the year 2014...special things are coming for 2015.

Hey guys! Hope you had a great, productive, happy and fruitful week! I went through a lot this week to say the least! But here's my weekly ROUND UP!

We threw my baby boy a birthday party at our local orchard and it was PRETTY AMAZING to say the least!

I fell Ill this week, fever of 103, aching body, stuffy nose and watery eyes, i just started a new job and had to drag my nasty cold to work with me :(...

I of course sanitized my area and myself all day everyday! The eucalyptus mint candle is my fave for the bathroom and for sick days! The essential oil was the cherry on top

Some small BBW hauls...couldn't resist the Pumpkin pecan waffles craze!

Nectarine & Green Tea

Hands down, this is THEE best scent from the summer sips collection at BBW. It's amazing! First burn, takes about 15 mins before this ignites my livingroom/dining area. It's refreshing, a tad sweet and very calming. I love it! These are 50% off at BBW right now, stock up for next summer or burn them now if you'd like.

I'd even use this in my bathroom t's such a great scent. 

The notes are simple: white nectarine, Japanese green tea!

Tokyo Lotus & Apple blossom

Notes: Cherry red lotus, Japanese apple blossom, white bamboo, mandarin & peony petals

Such a pretty floral scent, the scent from the shower gel definitely lingers on the skin and the triple moisture body cream ties it all together! I am loving this scent for the summer, it's fresh, a dash of sweet and very floral. 

This one is definitely for my fruity floral lovers out there. I definitely recommend getting at least the shower gel and triple moisture body creams for your favorite scents so you can relesh in the goodness!

Bath & body works:TIKI BEACH

By far one if my favorite summer scents from BBW. Very summer time appropriate, makes me think f the beach, sunscreen and sun-rays...here are the notes:

Typically i am NOT a huge fan of artificial coconut scents but the mixture of the vanilla musk is PERFECT. This candle if for the person who likes sweet scents or a person who likes a sweet scent that is definitely soft not cotton candy-esque. 

The throw is AMAZING, on first burn it takes maybe 20 minutes before the scent is overpowering my livingroom/dining area. 

This candle is HOLY GRAIL in my household, It's been around for a few summer collections so I am hoping it will return summer of 2015, as i did not stock up on this fave!

My week at a glance

Hey everybody!! I'm sooo late, sorry about that, I'm always on my phone but i wasn't handling my business wht my blog! But i am back. I just wanted to share some pictures with you guys and let you know there are some exciting changes in my life. 

It was my boyfriends birthday on tuesday August 19, so i treated the family to Cheesecake Factory and i snagged this amazing yankee candle from Marshalls the same day! 

Did you guys snag any candles? Did you notice the price difference in your local BBW stores? Candles in my stores were 2 for $24 but 2 for $22 in other stores and online...i still shopped for candles so nooo biggie.

How amazing is this new palette from smashbox...definitely on my wishlist 

I started a new job guys, so excited and my red lips keep me happy!

Wash day was on saturday and I did my own finger coils...these products here...MY HAIR LOVES THEM!

This shea moisture bubble bath and body wash really falls flat for me as a bubble bath, I'm going to try it as a body wash instead.

A blog post to my son

The media has been all over the most recent alleged police brutality story and death of Michael Brown in St. Louis, MO. What it brought me to do is think, think hard about the history of America and it brought me back to a book that i recently read about the intentions, conduct and purpose of the black panther party. I believe all people ALL RACES and sexes deserve RESPECT. But what i believe we should do as a society is educate ourselves, get it in the community and DO SOMETHING! Posting, REPOSTING, and arguing over the internet will not EVER solve ANYTHING.

I write this letter with so much love to my son Amir. It was a blessing to birth a healthy beautiful black boy. In a country where ignorance is bliss and everyone knows everything about nothing, i vow to teach you and guide you. I don't want you to hate or resent anyone, i want to educate you and show you that you can question what people tell you. That you have rights, you are smart, you are beautiful...you are a KING, and deserve to be treated as such. 

Most of all you should respect the other kings around you white, black, blue or brown. If you show them their royal potential it will uplift you. 

I support all that you will ever choose to do, i will always guide you to use your mind, explore the world, and express your feelings. 

We live in a society that is dismissive but always angry. I want you to recognize your feelings and be able to intellually give your opinions. 

Most of all i just want you to know you have options to grow, police brutality, racism, sexism and any other form of judgement or prejudice shall not stand in your way.

I also want to extend my condolences to the family of Michael Brown. I pray for all of the young or old lives taken due to the act of violence

Why are women so celebrity obsessed?

I remember when i was kid, you had a favorite singer or dancer or actor because you loved their talent or songs. But today it seems as though we care less about how talented a person is and are so much more focused on their personal endeavors. I posed the question about women for two reasons 1. I am a woman and find myself engaging in these celebrity conversations with other women. 2. I rarely hear men talking about celebrity's personal lives.

This couple right here Jay-z and Beyonce, my favorite recording artists, i basically grew up listening to their music and for that i respect and love their contribution to the Hip hop & pop community. But what i do not care about is, their marriage, how they raise their child, what their political and or religious views are!

The sad truth is people are bullies, and it's easy to talk about and squander time away talking people who clearly have reached far more success than most. Why aren't we engaging i conversations about the newest political moves? Community activism or the newest we've read? Instead we're worrying about who is sleeping with who and why someone is divorcing whoever. 

Everyone is judge mental it's apart of our human makeup but, I'd rather spend my time judging things that are relevant to me my family and my future success. 

I just want more women to move forward to become positive role models instead of pointing fingers at a celebrity that isn't contributing to our communities, not that it's their responsibility. Bottom line is, live your real life, get off of the social media, judgmental bandwagon and really live. 

I vow to no longer have serious or joking conversations about celebrities because i have real topics that i want to discuss and they don't include the life and times of the celebrity obsessed culture we love in.

New brushes from BH COSMETICS

Very uneventful week, it really was! I've been swamped with trying to finish my last assignment for school, figuring out how to work my new camera AND working fulltime and being home with my baby boo a lot. His daddy has been working like a mad man lately so it's all on mama WOMP WOMP!

This is exactly how i feel!

Can't afford salon pedi's so i brought the salon home! Snagged this puppy for $24!

I got my hair done over the weekend from a new stylist who was AMAZING BY THE WAY! She used a setting lotion to finger coil my hair and i found this beauty for only $3!! I wanted to use this when i did my own finger coils! I'll keep you updated.

Marriage proposal...is it a man's job?

This picture right here has the African American community going off (in a great way) recently. People especially women want to know each other's thoughts about a woman proposing to her man. 

So I thought i would chime in, first let me start off by saying, i have my own personal views about marriage and it is NOT a priority to me and yes i am in a truly happy healthy relationship. 

Is the marriage proposal only exclusive to a man? Now don't go getting all religious on me because quite frankly I'm not sure if the bible says who has to propose to whom, i mean the bible and most other religious books were written at a time where ARRANGED marriage was the way things worked. 

I am completely neutral on the subject, i believe a woman has the right to ask her man for his hand in marriage, is there some underlying standard people should adhere to? Maybe it's the opinions of others, men have feelings too and some cannot express them, as there is very little recognition that those feelings exist.

Is the delivery what throws people off? I don't know, i personally think it's a bit much but it was the way she chose to do it! 

So if you are afraid to ask you man to marry you and think people will judge you, ask your parents to arrange for the marriage to happen and not only are we taking it old school, no one can judge you...i guess. 

Do what you please your life is not at the liberty or sake of others!

I want to LOVE this product i really really do! But unfortunately, it serves me no GOOD PURPOSE! Let me start with the PROS:

My curl definition is EVERYTHING i want 

It smells AMAZING

Is really easy to apply

CONS: It flakes no matter the method used to apply

It flakes no matter what products you use before applying it

It just flakes no matter what!

My final verdict is: don't waste your money or time, you will continue to try and master this product as i did, only to need to do an emergency cowash to remove the white and brown flakes that are VERY visible! 

Sorry As I Am but this is NOT for me!
